Arab and Muslim response remains solid in respect of the cartoons desecrating the Prophet Muhammad still being published. Meanwhile steps are taken by the concerned parties to help reach a common vision to counter the campaigns launched under the pretext of freedom of expression. A proposal has been floated for a draft UN resolution banning the desecration of religions and fighting discrimination.

In addition, the visit by a delegation of Danish churches to Egypt to meet the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the Mufti and Minister of Endowments aims at expressing solidarity with Muslims everywhere and denouncing the desecration of the Prophet Muhammad.

Arab and Muslim law-makers are urged hereby to prepare a draft to be presented to the UN to protect faiths and rally behind a dialogue of cultures rather than a clash of civilizations.
