Culture Palaces participate in "Reading for All" Festival

The activities of Reading for All Festival start under the patronage of Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak in the culture palaces under the title "Culture, language of peace". The activities aim at spreading and affirming culture of peace as a deep-rooted concept in the Egyptian culture.

Dr. Ahmed Nawar, Chairman of the General Organization for Culture Palaces, said that the festival, this year, includes 150 cultural sites of the organization in all governorates in addition to the cultural parks and national societies. In the field of publishing, the activities include the publishing of Qatr El Nada magazine weekly and the book of Qatr El Nada weekly while stressing values of peace, tolerance and environment protection along with publishing a new series entitled "Memory of nation" and "Contemporary innovations" a series for scientific culture as well as the series copied by the organization which includes 14 books and magazines.

150 libraries of the organization participate in the festival in addition to 522 cultural sites in the cultural gardens and cultural societies of reading for all in the public parks, libraries traveling in the new cities, library of tree in the open-air courts such as camps and beaches as well as library of beach and sites of hospitals.

Dr. Nawar added that the organization will provide the bus of fine art for transporting youths and children to the monumental places, national and artistic museums as well as other places of cultural activities. The project depends mainly on the voluntary efforts beside the governmental efforts represented in the organization of culture palaces and sector of plastic arts. The festival includes 54 meetings during the period and there is a general competition among libraries of the organization for selecting the best one according to specific regulations and standards.
