President Mubarak will inaugurate next Saturday20/5/2006 the Davos world economic forum, the biggest gathering of world leaders, businessmen, media, and civil society representatives.
Some 300 world figures from 46 states will take part in the forum and will start to flock into Egypt tomorrow.

Klaus Schwab, the founder of Davos forum and its board chairman said the convening of the world economic forum on the Middle East in Sharm El Sheikh comes at the time when the region is passing through a critical stage adding guaranteeing a prosperous and secure future for the Middle East and the world at large depends to a great extent on laying more emphasis on the' future generations.

On his part,' Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif said Davos forum is a big chance for opening dialogue on many issues given the fact that the region is currently witnessing' many chances on the economic and political fronts.

He expressed hope that the spirit of peace would dominate the proceedings of the conference especially in terms of humanitarian development, indicating that Sharm EI Sheikh city is known to the world as the city of peace.
