Official delegations participating in WEF arrive Thursday

Egypt finished all preparations to host the World Economic Forum due to open in Sharm El-Sheikh on Saturday20/5/2006 where 1300 world figures, officials, media men, intellectuals and economists will take part in the annual event.

The participating delegations began arrival in Cairo Thursday or directly in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Minister of Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohammed Rasheed met Wednesday17/5/2006 the committee which is in charge of holding this conference, to put final touches.

The Minister is expected to hold Friday 19/5/2006a press conference in which he will announce the arrangements taken by the government to facilitate the event.

Rasheed said Wednesday the conference will be attended by a big number of politicians including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

A delegation of Israeli businessmen will attend the WEF in SharmEl-Sheikh, said Minister Rasheed Mohammed Rasheed.

In addition to this,Denmark's Prime Minister will attend the inter-religions dialogue session, due to be held on the sidelines of the conference. A host of politicians, intellectuals and clerics will attend.

However,the Egyptian delegation to the conference will explain the country's investment opportunities and the government's steps taken to facilitate and improve the investment atmosphere, said governor of South Sinai Hany Metwalli.
