Erdogan: WEF indicator for rebuilding economic confidence of the Mideast region

Erdogan is accompanied by a delegation including Minister of Economy Ali Babacan, Minister of Energy Hilmi Guler, Minister of Culture and Tourism Atilla Koc, a number of parliamentarians, head of the Egyptian-Turkisk parliamentary friendship association, as well as a number of businessmen and journalists.

During his visit to Sharm, Erdogan will take part in a four-way meeting that also includes his counterparts of Egypt, Malaysia and Lebanon.

Erdogan will attend a working dinner to be given by President Mubarak on Sunday.

In pre-departure statements, Erdogan said his participation in the WEF would provide a big chance for discussing economic, trade and investment issues in an atmosphere of confidence and cooperation.

He added the forum would be an indicator for rebuilding economic confidence of the Mideast region as well as promoting the economic relations among the region's countries.

At the end of his visit to Egypt, Erdogan is to head for Algiers on Sunday on a two-day visit to Algeria.
