Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif said the amendment of the constitution has already started adding President Mubarak called for designating constitutional items which need to be amended in preparation for referring them to the Peoples Assembly. In statements to correspondents on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, Nazif said that economic and trade cooperation with the Palestinian authority is a priority for his government as a bid towards achieving progress in the peace process. Nazif highlighted the now-and-then problems that erupt between the Palestinians and the Israelis along with problems on the Egyptian-Gaza Strip borders of Rafah. Regarding the judge's crisis, the premier distanced the government from the issue, saying the matter only concerned the legal authorities concerned. |
