The World Economic Forum WEF Egypt from May 20 to 22

Introduction:

The World Economic Forum (WEF) meetings will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt from May 20 to 22. The decision to convene this meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt in May 2006 was made in the WEF meetings in Davos, Switzerland. on January 30, 2006. It is noteworthy that the Memorandum of Understanding ment on holding the forum in Sharm el-Sheikh was signed between WEF and Ministry of Trade and Industry on October 5, 2005. In this respect, WEF Operations Manager Andre Schneider asserted that the selection of Egypt as the venue of this meeting comes in recognition by WEF of Egypt's important role in making peace and stability in the region and its commitments to serious political and socio-economic reform program.

On this occasion, President Mubarak has extended invitations to 50 heads of state and kings to participate in the forum meeting due in Sharm el-Sheikh on May 20, 2006 with 1500 financial and business figures and 850 media representatives from all over the world.
