King Tut to begin new tour in US

King Tutankhamun exhibition will begin a new tour in the United States Monday 10/11/2008 including seven US states.

“Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaoh” exhibition will remain in the US till the end of December 2012.

Culture Minister, Farouk Hosni, said the exhibition which tours seven US states includes 149 artifacts.

The exhibition will be held in response to a request by some American agencies including National Geographic and Arts and Exhibitions International, he added.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities Dr. Zahi Hawwas said King Tut exhibition will tour the US states of Georgia, Indiana, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Texas and Washington.
