$ 449 million Suez Canal revenues in April

"The Suez Canal has gained high revenues in April reaching $ 449 million, the highest to be reached in a single month," according to Suez Canal Authority statistics.

The monthly revenues of the international waterway in April increased by 22 percent compared to the same month last year.

As of April 1, 2008 new tolls for the Suez Canal transit were enforced.
