Egypt, South Africa probe oil cooperation

Minister of Oil Sameh Fahmi and South Africa's Minister of Minerals and Energy Buyelwa Patience Sonjica Sunday 1/6/2008 probed ways to promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of oil and mining.

Fahmi referred to South Africa's distinguished experience in these domains being the oldest country operating in the mining sector, with many of its government and non-government institutions engaged in the domain.

Sonjica expressed great interest in making use of Egypt's experience in the field of oil and natural gas and signing more agreements by South African oil companies to work in Egypt. She also voiced her country's wish to expand cooperation with Egypt in various domains.
