Egypt, Canada discuss human rights march

National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) Secretary General Mokhles Kotb and a delegation representing the Canadian democratic rights organization examined on Thursday 20/11/2008 plans for the enhancement of human rights.

Ambassador Kotb expounded the various NCHR programs that aim at spreading the culture of human rights at the local level and the role of the council's committees in boosting the economic, social, political and civil rights by the NCHR and UNESCO as well as the role of national human rights organizations in fostering the human rights march in societies.

The Canadian delegation praised the NCHR's active role in promoting human rights at home and in the Arab world and said it was ready to help in any program the NCHR may suggest to advance the national human rights plans.
