President Hosni Mubarak on Thursday made a telephone call to his Iraqi counterpart Jalal
Talbani, now on a treatment trip in Jordan, to inquire after his health.
The President wished him a speed recovery. President Mubarak also expressed his good wishes for Talbani and the brotherly Iraqi people.
Another message from President Mubarak will also be handed over to his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov by Minister of International Cooperation Fayza Abul-Naga who arrived in the Uzbek capital Tashkent on Thursday to lead her country's delegation to the fifth session of the joint committee on bilateral economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
On the other hand, President Mubarak is due to receive the Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul tomorrow.
Abdullah Gul is due in Cairo on Saturday for a two-day visit to Egypt during which he will hold talks with his counterpart Ahmed Abul-Gheit and Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa.
Talks will dwell on the current conditions in the region and ways to boost cooperation between Turkey and Egypt and the entire Arab world.
The two sides will also probe the latest political and security developments in Iraq, along with the Iranian nuclear file.
Gul will also take part in a meeting to be held by the Iraq Committee, stemming from the Arab League, and meet with his Arab counterparts over a dinner banquet to be hosted by Abul-Gheit in honor of the foreign ministers participating in the 127th ordinary session of the Arab League Council.
