Mubarak inaugurates three factories

Within the framework of following up development projects, and keenness on providing job opportunities for youth, President Mubarak Monday 12/5/2008 made inspection tour to Fayoum governorate during which he inaugurated three big factories at chemicals production complex which is affiliated to the Armed Forces in Koum Osheem.

The new factories provide nearly 3000 new job opportunities for youth in Upper Egypt governorates.

The establishment of the three new factories comes within the second stage of the big industrial complex in Koum Osheem and aims at producing 150,000 tons of concentrated acids which are used in the manufacturing of allum and fertilizers. This complex aims to satisfy the needs of expanding a number of giant projects in the field of agriculture and drinking water.

The first stage of the project which was inaugurated in 2006 aims to produce 150,000 tons of liquid allum annually and 25,000 tons of solid allum every year.

Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, the Minister of Defence and Military Production said the factories which were built by the Armed Forces in Fayoum are self-sufficient dependent in the field of energy and have enough surplus energy which it can offer to the unified grid of the city.
