Abul-Gheit receives ITU Chief

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit on Monday12/5/2008 received Dr Hamdoun Toure, the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), who is on a visit here to attend the Telecom Africa 2008 Conference.

The conference opened here on Sunday with representatives of around 40 countries participating.

Abul Gheit, confirmed during the meeting, Egypt's keenness on supporting the ITU for bolstering the efficiency of the telecommunications sector in developing countries.
