The National Democratic Party is the ruling party in Egypt which enjoys the majority among the other political parties in Egypt owing to a serious work in favor of Egypt's present and future. The NDP seeks to address many issues through attracting more investments and working on training the youth to meet the demands of the workforce market. At the same time, it is required to promote the level of services and ensure the social guarantee to realize a fair level to all Egyptians including the aged, the patients and the disabled.
Paying heed to the social sides of the Egyptian citizen is the basis of a clear-cut strategy toward Egypt's progress which President Mubarak called for as a major goal in the upcoming stage. Hence, it is required to focus on the social sides and investments in Upper Egypt plus upgrading the management of the State-owned assets and the financial sector plus facilitating the obtaining of necessary fund for growth and employment.
In addition, competition in the field of agriculture should be upgraded to help improve the status and income of the farmer plus developing water resources and irrigation systems in Egypt. The NDP should pay heed to the services and social justice among all categories of the Egyptian people.
Given that education is the basis of the development of any community, the pre-university education system should be reconsidered. As for the higher education, we should focus on the needs of the markets so that the graduate can work for developing his community, besides caring for the staff in the universities.
On the other hand, no one can deny that there are some bodies which take care of the poor, particularly the Social Fund for Development which funds the small projects. Yet, we should take care of combating poverty and upgrading Egyptian culture to pay heed to the technical work. However, we should admit that there are some economic reflections on the limited-income brackets; hence we should pay more attention to the middle class in Egypt given that it is the backbone of any community.
Hence, policies should be set to meet the demands of this class, particularly in the field of economical housing units, drinking water, sewage, increasing the salaries of the State employees and enhancing the pensions for the aged. No doubt, the NDP will set a general policy for social justice via adopting executive measures to realize social leaps for them. As for transport's problems, a comprehensive plan should be set to restructure the railways in Egypt at the technical, administrative and financial levels plus activating sea and road transport.
Anyhow, we should continue the economic reform with a focus on the social justice, particularly in the field of educational, health services and transport.
