Priorities of Egypt's present stage are topped with social justice for the good of the Egyptian citizen to improve his living conditions through making available required services of education, housing and employment.
The improvement of the social life of the Egyptian citizen is the target of the political and party action of the National Democratic Party and government. This is the main target for the government policies.
In light of this social orientation by the 9th congress of the National Democratic party upon which the work papers and policies be considered by the NDP were based, the congress will consider the social justice issues in addition to other important axes such as employment, investments, services, national security and citizenship.
NDP Secretary General Safwat el-Sherif said clearly that the Congress within the frame of social justice will deal with the policies of education and means to promote them in terms of quality.
The Congress will consider as well the policies of health and means to make available the suitable health services in rural and urban areas and the dedication of the principle that medical treatment is the right for each citizen without linking it to the financial capabilities.
In order to realize the dimensions of this social orientation and the policies adopted by the National Democratic Party, we have to come to know that this orientation is coupled with executive measures for reaching the aspired targets which are represented in the elimination of poverty among other things as well as to enable the marginalized categories to make benefits through those measures in addition to upgrading the social security process.
This was made clear by Gamal Mubarak the Assistant Secretary General of the National Democratic Party and Secretary of Policies.
Gamal Mubarak affirmed that the NDP will propose within the frame of the general policies of social justice a number of executive measures as well as mechanisms aimed at improving social life of citizens In fact, the National Democratic Party is committed to making available the subsidy of the loaf of bread through allocating seven billion pounds more in subsidy as well as building 18,000 additional bakeries in the areas more in need of them in order to make sure that subsidy reaches people who deserve it.
500,000 housing units more will be built as part of the project "build your own house" in the areas badly in need of those units.
Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif approved to allocate 100 million pounds to modernize the data base of most favored families and that the modernization process would be over early next year.
Thus, the National Democratic Party is starting a political stage of paramount importance for a better life of the Egyptian citizen.
