NDP Congress...messages to whom it may concern

The 9th congress of the National Democratic Party (NDP) sends many important messages on the Egyptian, Arab and regional levels. The first message indicates that march of democracy in Egypt achieves progress day after day.

Among said democratic achievements is that selection of the NDP head became through direct election. This step came after the election of the party's forms and bases during last months through direct election which means that election became the basis of political action. The entrenchment of election culture and resorting to the boxes to elect our representatives in any sector lead to more democracy as the NDP gives the best example in this regard.

The second message is that the NDP decided to put the issue of social justice as the icon and main issue of discussion. It means that the standard of putting policies from now on is to seek justice in everything in order to settle all problems of citizens.

The third message is that the party, through discussing the issue of employment, tells everybody that we realize that there is unemployment and therefore we linked employment to the investment. The NDP realizes that creation of job opportunities will not come through slogans or rosy statements in newspapers and media outlets, but through attracting real investments thus leading to the establishment of plants which provide said opportunities. Therefore, luring local and foreign investments will provide youths with job opportunities.
The fourth message is that the party will discuss the preparation of new legislations to be submitted to the legislative institution in order to coincide with the democratic development. It means that in order to implement these ambitious plans, a legislative framework is needed in order to govern and determine them such as the anti-terror law and draft bill of the establishment of specialized economic courts.

We are facing a legislative revolution which will take Egypt to a promising future through democracy and law. Said messages must be studied by all parties in order to witness a society based on democracy and multi-party.
