The project of reform in needs to be secured and protected against repercussions of problems and tensions in the region. No doubt has an interest to intensify activity in order to protect its stability against aggravation of regional positions and work on different levels to preserve its internal stability and national security.

Promotion of the Egyptian interests requires an effective action to restore stability in the region while the deteriorating positions require a special attention by . The National Democratic Party (NDP) offered an integrated vision on the Egyptian national security last year through a discussion paper including a deep reading for the fateful issues in face future and security of the region in light of current factors of turmoil.

Soundness of this vision appeared in light of non-improvement of positions in the region in a way which put the Egyptian politics before a real challenge stresses the need to develop an integrated and clear vision for the Egyptian national security thus responding to requirements of the pressuring regional position. Retreating of horizon of the Palestinian issue settlement, increase of factors of division in , dangers of nuclear proliferation and increase of religious extremism in the region thus threatening to reach a chaos, the matter which includes challenges before 's national security.

The march of reform launched by the NDP and its government depends on a conducive regional environment providing the proper security and political climate to realize the aspired targets of reform project. Therefore, the NDP, during its 9th congress, focuses on the protection of reform project through an integrated vision putting the protection of reform project on top of the Egyptian national security priorities in order to preserve the national interests and realize targets of reform.
