NDP's accomplishments have realized goals

According to the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) accomplishment documents which were yesterday displayed during its 9th General congress, the Party underlined that it has fulfilled its promises of constitutional amendments.

Such accomplishments include reinforcing the democratic march, rights of citizenship, women empowerment, accelerating the investment rates, providing new and more job opportunities, increasing salaries, elevating the qualities of services, propping up social justice and guaranteeing subsidies of the limited income categories of the society.

Regarding the achievements of the constitutional amendments, there have been some 34 articles of the Egyptian Constitution that have been reenacted. The process constitutes the biggest ever amendment operation in the history of the Egyptian constitutional updating.

The amendments entitled the People's Assembly (Parliament) the prerogatives of modifying the budget, reinforcing citizenship and equality of the entire Egyptians with no discrimination.

For the first ever time in Egypt's history, some 30 women judges and magistrates have been appointed to enrich the Egyptian judiciary. On the level of the economic growth, the Egyptian economy has achieved a growth rate of 7.1 percent while the foreign investments have doubled to hit $1.1 billion, and the non-petroleum exports realized a 46% increase.
