It became obvious during discussions of the 9th NDP General Congress how aware participants were of the tremendous changes pushing the world to new horizons, of which some would be unknown, while others would take the form of changes in economics, sociology, and scientific and technological progress.

It was also clear that participants were aware of the need to make available the tools and mechanisms that would help them deal with the future and that would also assist them in overcoming challenges and obstacles. It became obvious that a vision was essential to ensure that the requirements of development, and the elements of labor force and financial stability are in full operation and that a balance is achieved between prices and salaries.
