"A satellite system will be introduced to monitor train movement in Egypt," said Transport Minister Mohamed Mansour at a meeting of the National Democratic Party's transport committee on Saturday3/11/2007 that the system will be applied to 30 trains as of this month.

          

The Minister said transport domain suffers from inherited problems.

          

"We have begun to make changes in the ministry but we don't have a magic wand," he said.

          

Mansour added that the Transport Ministry was committed to restructuring Egypt Railways.

          

The Ministry is committed to channeling LE 1.6 billion in the coming four years to railways restructure, he said.
