Safwat Al-Sherif the NDP Secretary General during the Party General Secretariat meeting held on 13/11/2007 affirmed the success of the 9th General NDP Congress in explaining the NDP and government policies, as well as discussing some important issues for societal dialogue contributed by parties, civil society's institutions and everyone who has opinion and thought.

Al-Sherif confirmed that the reports made by the NDP's secretariats in governorates clarified its positive evaluation of the dialogues and discussions of the congress.

Moreover, the work plan charged by President Mubarak for the NDP and the Government concerning executing the policies and promises of the congress was discussed. Besides, there was an encouragement for youth to receive their electoral cards to widen the political participation. The meeting also discussed the coming meeting of the General Secretariat and its work plan of representing some of the governments according to the congress' amendment of the main system of the NDP.
