Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit said on 26/7/2008 that President Hosni Mubarak will start during the coming days a very important African tour to South Africa and Uganda.
He said that President Mubarak will have political and economic talks on bilateral relations and partnership for development in Pretoria with President Thabo Mbeki and in Kampala with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
The Egyptian foreign minister said that the President's visit to South Africa is the first visit of its kind and aims to cement bilateral relations. The talks will touch on African and international issues of common interest, energy in Africa, cooperation in IT and ways of developing bilateral relations.
As for the President's visit to Uganda, Abul-Gheit said that his talks with Museveni will tackle the problems facing Africa, and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
Egyptian foreign minister said that Egypt has historical, regional and geographic relations in Africa and there is an Egyptian program for helping the African countries.
