Polish President Lech Kaczynski Tuesday 11/3/2008 conferred upon President Mubarak the highest Polish Order of Merit at a reception in the Polish presidential palace.

President Mubarak delivered a speech on the occasion where he thanked the Polish head of state for the nice gesture which he described as "a confirmation of the deeply-rooted bilateral relations". "My visit to your great country and the important and constructive talks that we had reflect a mutual desire to foster the bonds of friendship between Cairo and Warsaw," Mubarak added.

In his speech at the celebration, President Hosni Mubarak expressed keenness on boosting Egypt-Poland relations in the various domains.

"Egypt has been following up the wonderful achievements Poland has made over the past decade", added President Mubarak wishing the Polish people more progress and prosperity.

The Polish President expressed appreciation for President Mubarak's efforts to serve world peace and stability at the regional and international levels.
