The friendship and cooperation ties between Egypt and Poland are deeply-rooted, Mubarak also said, expressing hope that they will be further boosted to serve the best interests of their peoples and to contribute to realizing peace in the Middle East for the sake of the entire world.

"I am looking forward to broadening the scope and scale of our cooperation and increasing trade exchange and joint investments and ventrues," President Mubarak said, extending an invitation to President Kaczynski to visit Egypt.

Egypt is one of the heavy-weight players in the Middle East region, it is a stable country and the changes it is making are really important and will indeed lead it to genuine success, Polish President Lech Kaczynski said Tuesday 11/3/2008.

The current visit by President Hosni Mubarak to Poland will immensely help in boosting Egyptian-Polish relations, the Polish leader said in a word at a luncheon he gave in honor of his Egyptian guest and his wife and entourage.

Egypt is important for the entire world as its position in the heart of the Middle East enables it to play a special role in maintaining regional security and stability, he said.

President Mubarak and late Egyptian president Anwar Sadat succeeded in leading Egypt on the path of peace and development and in making it a magnet for world leaders and international forums, he said.

President Mubarak is well-versed in Middle East and world politics, the Polish president said, adding that their talks together were important and beneficial.
