The Egyptian governorates were the scene Friday August 4 of mass rallies, with thousands of worshippers gathering after Friday noon prayers to express solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance.
The protesters condemned the brutal Israeli offensive against the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples.
They shouted anti-US and anti-Israeli slogans, praising at the same time the Lebanese resistance for standing up to Israel.
The demonstrators also denounced the "weak" role played by the UN.
In North Sinai, masses of people organized a peaceful demonstration outside Al-Refaei mosque in Al-Arish, protesting the Israeli assaults in Lebanon and the Palestinian territories.
Political parties in Aswan also organized a peaceful demonstration in front of the airport.
Another peaceful demonstration was organized in the governorate of Fayoum.
Demonstrators gathered at Nasser mosque and called for a ceasefire in Lebanon and Palestine.
