Like any other criminal justifying his crimes and atrocities, Ehud Olmert, the Israeli Prime Minister sought the protection of the US Administration; an administration at odds with justice and international legality and collaborating with the forces of extremism. Olmert was keen to clarify that his country does not intend to apologize for its crimes in Lebanon, which led to the killing of women and children and to destroying villages, houses and infrastructure.
Olmert's Knesset speech can only be described in terms of a funeral procession, obituarizing Israel's military failure and glorifying Lebanon's resistance which was able to destroy the myth of Israel's invincible Army.
