The Lebanese resistance imposed itself on many features of the cultural, artistic and social life as well as many programs, celebrations and items of some international festivals after the brave struggle it showed in face of the Israeli attack. The higher committee of Alexandria International Film Festival made an important amendment in the program of the 22nd session scheduled to start on September 5th, 2006 to put the "Cinema of Resistance" as the main subject. It notified all participant countries to give an opportunity to all actors, directors and super stars to prepare themselves for participation in the round table prepared by the AIFF higher committee. Discussions will focus on the role of international cinema in supporting resistance and its legitimate right in defending territories against occupation all over the world. The AIFF management selected the most modern and famous ten movies produced by the Arab and international cinema in this field. It aimed to prove that showing the ten movies, which discuss the issue of resistance before the Arab and foreign spectators as well as men of diplomacy invited by the AIFF, represents Egypt's support to the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples against the Israeli assault. It also represents a message sent by the participant countries to all peace-love countries in which they support the Lebanese peoples in its crisis. By: Mostafa El Damarany Al Ahram
