Run-offs of Defeat

Although the Americans were able to wrestle out a resolution from the UN Security Council achieving the goals Israel was unable to ensure on the battlefield, they discovered they could not destroy Hezbollah, the organization which the whole of the Lebanese people considers their own.

US President George W. Bush is about to ask the Security Council to pass a new resolution setting forth the mechanism likely to destroy this Goliath of an organization, which stands threatening not only Israel but the entire region. Hezbollah has become an example of resistance to be followed by Arab and Muslim peoples in the battle against the policies of hegemony and against attempts to influence and control their countries.

The new US-proposed draft unfortunately does not take into consideration the real threat posed to Lebanon's national unity. However, Washington's masks are falling one after the other thanks to the Islamic resistance, which has unveiled the truth about a war by proxy seeking to establish the foundations of a new Middle East under Israel's thumb. The run-offs of defeat are not confined to the Americans. The Israeli government has announced it will hunt down Hezbollah's leaders everywhere and at all times. It may even resort to physical liquidation where teams would be formed to kill off those leaders who defeated Israel in the hope of saving the face of its Army which committed a serious mistake when it launched its war on Lebanon.
