The Emergency meeting of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference OIC) executive council in Malaysia achieved its set goals, said Egypt's representative to the meetings.

In statements to MENA, Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Councils  Affairs Mufid Shehab said the meeting addressed the legal aspects of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and the Palestinian territories.

The meeting issued two declarations on Lebanon and Palestine, he said.

In his speech to the closed-door session, Shehab said he expressed worries that the aggression on Lebanon and the Palestinian territories could cause a new and unpredictable turn in the Middle East region.
