Tagamoa Party

Al-Tagamo'a party was established in 1977. It groups all the leftist powers in Egypt.
The Party is headed by Dr. Mohamed Refaat Al-Saed.

Goals
The party is considered as the defender of the 1952 Revolution principles. It calls for standing against attempts to reverse from the 1952 Revolution's social gains of laborers, the poor, limited-income brackets.

Platform
• Rejection to religious extremism.
• Building the character of the Egyptian citizens.
• Ending the State monopoly over the media.
• Raising awareness of environmental issues.
• Developing the Egyptian industries.

The party & legislative elections:
The party won two seats in Egypt's 2005 legislative elections.

In the 2000 parliamentary elections, the party fielded some 61 candidates and won six seats.
