Mrs. Mubarak launches youth forum Web. Site on internet 3/8/2007

Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, head of the Suzanne Mubarak Women's International Peace Movement (SMWIPM) launched on August, 2, 2007 the forum Web. Site on the internet "Power of youth 4 peace".

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Mubarak affirmed that youth is the focal point of the development efforts not only because they are leaders of the future but also because of the pivotal role they play in the present. She, further, extended thanks to those have been supporting the significant event that cement the SMWIPM efforts in deepening pillars of justice peace and human security for better future for the forthcoming generations.

Mrs. Mubarak hailed youth enthusiasm and their sincere wishes to build up bridges of understandings and solidarity among all peoples and cultures. She made it clear that the forum tackles the role of youth in building up culture of peace, exploring unlimited horizons through information technology, creating more spacious scopes for youth participation in developing communities, enhancing youth role in decision-making process and empowering youth.

Mrs. Mubarak said that launching the forum Web. Site on the internet "Power of youth 4 peace". Is to be a channel for communications among peoples from all over the globe, as such site would offer a chance to all youths to exchange points of views and float their ideas to be discussed by the forum. She expounded that based on the forum thrust the movement will establish a permanent unit to take care of youth affairs. Mrs. Muabrak affirmed that the main task of such unit will be backing up interaction between youth on one hand and decision makers, private sectors, governments and NGOs on the other. She added that the unit is to contribute to unleashing youth creativity and developing their capabilities to build up peace.

Mrs. Mubarak underscored the importance of the media role in conveying the forum actualities, expounding that media would undertake the responsibility of conveying real and effective image of the forum, and highlight youth successful experiments.
