Mubarak, Sultan to discuss Arab issues, joint cooperation


Saudi Crown Prince Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation Sultan Bin Abdul-Aziz arrived in Egypt Tuesday November 15 for talks with President Hosni Mubarak.

Presidential Spokesman Suleiman Awwad said that President Mubarak believed that Prince Sultan's visit 's purpose is to consult over conditions on the Arab scene and over ways by which to contribute to consolidating common Arab action at this critical stage .

According to Awwad, the Mubarak-Sultan talks covered the latest developments in Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon plus means of containing the crisis triggered by Al-Hariri assassination .

He said that the agenda of the Saudi Crown Prince's trip to Egypt included exploring the prospects of enhancing bilateral trade and economic ties and boosting Saudi investments in Egypt.
