President Hosni Mubarak sent a cable to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) on the first anniversary of late president Yasser Arafat.

Mubarak also stressed in a phone call with Abu Mazen Egypt's support to the Palestinian people till regaining their legitimate rights and establishing their independent state.
