Mubarak: Egypt stands by Jordan's side in face of terror
President Hosni Mubarak on Thursday denounced the terror attacks on three hotels in Amman Wednesday night that killed dozens of people and wounded hundreds others.
In a cable to King Abdullah II of Jordan, he expressed his deepest condolences to Jordan's leader and to the families of the victims.
He affirmed Egypt will stand by Jordan's side at these difficult times in confronting terror and its threats.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit on Thursday denounced the heinous terrorist attacks in the Jordanian capital.
Such a horrendous crime will no doubt reinforce our determination to muster every potential and effort on the regional and international level to confront and uproot terrorism, he said.
He expressed his deepest condolences to Jordanian Foreign Minister Farouk Kasrawi and to the Jordanian people.
