Mubarak pays brief visit to Libya today

President Hosni Mubarak is expected to pay a brief visit to Libya today for talks with leader of the Libyan revolution Muammar Al Gaddafi.

Mubarak-Gaddafi talks will deal with the latest developments on the Arab arena.

The two leaders will exchange views on conditions in the Middle East and Africa with emphasis on the Palestinian territories, Iraq and means to forge a unified Arab stance to confront mounting international pressure on Syria.

The two leaders will also discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Mubarak's visit to Libya comes out of his keenness on meeting the Libyan leader on an If tar banquet during the fasting month of Ramadan.

Gaddafi was the only Arab leader to attend the historic session of the People's Assembly during which the President was sworn in for a new term in office.
