President Hosni Mubarak met on Saturday with senior state officials to discuss domestic issues, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.

"The President reviewed the government's proposed plan to implement the objectives spelled out by the Egyptian leader during the September 7 Presidential elections," Presidential Spokesman Suleiman Awwad told reporters.

The report was presented by Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif, Awwad said.
