President Mubarak yesterday received major General Abu Bakr Younis, Secretary of the Libyan Defence Committee, and his accompanying delegation.
Following the meeting, Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Suleiman Awwad said the meeting reviewed issues tackled by President Mubarak and his Libyan counterpart Muuamar Gaddafi two months ago, with special focus on Darfur problem. They also discussed the items on the agenda of the African Union summit scheduled for January 23 and 24 in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.
The meeting was attended by the Egyptian Defence Minister Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi and Mr. Ahmed Qaddaf al-Dam, coordinator of the Egyptian-Libyan relations.
