Mubarak's anti-nuclear weapons initiative

Intensive Egyptian talks are underway with other countries on implementing President Mubarak's 1990 initiative for nuclear-free ME.
 
  Ambassadress Na'ela Gabr, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Affairs said that these talks underscore Egypt's regional role in this crucial field. On the other hand, she stated that there are ongoing negotiations with the EU on the initiative as well.
