Article (68), NDP Parliamentary Authority

NDP Parliamentary Authority is formed of the People's Assembly and Shura Council NDP members. The authority holds at least three meeting annually according to the invitation of NDP's Chairman who presides over the meetings or any person deputized by him.

Article (69), Missions of NDP Parliamentary Authority

1- Clarifying the NDP's point of view while discussing the laws submitted to the People's Assembly and Shura Council.
2- Studying the governmental political statement and preparing replies.
3- Selecting the NDP speakers inside the People's Assembly and Shura Council.
4- Voting in the People's Assembly and Shura Council thus realizing targets of the party.
5- Voting on electing the NDP candidates for posts of speakers and deputies of the People's Assembly and Shura Council as well as membership of committees' authorities.
6- Achieving the NDP program through legislative work.


Article (70), NDP Parliamentary Committee

At the beginning of each session of the People's Assembly and Shura Council, the NDP chairman issues a decision of the parliamentary committee formation presided by the Secretary General and membership of:
1- Members of the general secretariat office authority.
2- Minister of the People's Assembly and Shura Council if he is a member in the party.
3- Secretary of organization (reporter).
4- Secretary of policies.
5- Representative of the NDP parliamentary authority in the People's Assembly and Shura Council.
6- Senior officials of communication for governorates in the People's Assembly and Shura Council who are to be chosen according the work policies.
7- A number of NDP members.

The Prime Minister, if he is a member in the party, can attend meetings of the parliamentary committee and, in this case, presides over said meetings.

Article (71), Missions of NDP Parliamentary Committee

The parliamentary committee coordinates works among the government, party and parliamentary authority. It also puts the plan of legislations, subjects and issues submitted by the party to the People's Assembly and Shura Council according to the work policies.
