Under the slogan "Join Leadership Ranks", the National Democratic Party NDP opens Sunday the door for nominees to run for the three day election marathon of partisan units in preparation for the elections slated for August 13 through October 3 in 7555 units in all villages and markez across Egypt.

People swarmed to join the NDP after the party excluded 20 per cent of runners from fulfilling the condition of obtaining a six-month-old membership.

The party's leading figures, especially Secretary-General Safwat el-Sherif, underscored the importance of adhering to transparency and impartiality towards all runners and supporting women and youth.

Governorates' secretariats have set up, in coordination with central secretariats, supervisory and follow-up committees in addition to computer rooms to sort out votes electronically.
