Elections of the National Democratic Party (NDP) have started at the level of 7,555 partisan units, including 50% for workers and farmers and two seats for women and another two for youth.
The main aim of the elections is to elect cadres who are able to exert more efforts for achieving development and reform, said a message addressed to all governorates by NDP Secretary-General Safwat el-Sherif.
Reports sent to el-Sherif said that the electoral process witnessed a large turnout from NDP members whether the candidates or voters. Sherif is expected to submit a report to President Hosni Mubarak on these elections due to end on next September 9.
