NDP Secretary of Policies: New youth and women candidates in party's internal elections

Mr. Gamal Mubarak, the NDP assistant general secretary and secretary of policies on Saturday, August 25, 2007, said that the new youth and women candidates will be offered the opportunity to serve in all fields.

The new party policy, as Mr. Mubarak put it, is to avail all categories of the opportunity to run for party membership. He further denied rumors of internal party divisions.

In his tours, the NDP assistant general secretary added that the party was in earnest about all reform policies it has so far proposed, which were embraced by society through communication between the various political and social forces.

Mr. Mubarak further described the party's new policy is based on disclosure. Problems and chronic issues are faced head on and hard solutions are introduced, he said.

Mr. Mubarak continues his tours in the governorates to follow up on the second stage of elections due to begin in mid September.

Voting has exceeded all expectations. 30 thousand are reported to have cast their ballot by the end of the first week of the vote.
