The second NDP internal election week starts Saturday, August 25, 2007. 26720 party leaderships were elected by the end of the first week.

NDP General Secretary Safwat al-Sherif said that election conferences are held according to an approved timetable ending on September 10.

Mr. al-Sherif announced that President Mubarak will in his capacity as party leader call for the convening of the party convention on November 3 through 5.
