President Hosni Mubarak, Chairman of the National Democratic Party (NDP) receives today's report on the Party's internal elections.
Safwat el Sherif, Secretary-General of NDP, asserted that the elections were held in about 45% of the units and adjourned in 209 units in which the number of nominees reached 90 thousand.
About one thousand ladies and a big number of youth won the elections.
On the other hand, el-Sherif classified that the Policy Committee, headed by Gamal Mubarak, is currently having meetings with the Ministry to prepare the work papers for the congress of the party to be held in November 3.
Moreover, he indicated that a common meeting between the government and the party with the Prime Minister attending is to be held before submitting the congress's papers to the President in the middle of this month.
