NDP members unanimously agree on electing President Mubarak as Chairman of the party

"The NDP members are unanimous on electing President as NDP chairman during the 9th NDP Congress which will be held on November 3-5," Dr. Zakaria Azmi, the National Democratic Party (NDP) Assistant Secretary General for organization, membership, financial and administrative affairs at the meeting of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Secretariat at the central level under Saeed Al-Alfy with the Financial and Administrative Affairs Secretaries in the governorates, at the NDP headquarters.

Dr. Azmi said the members of the NDP and the Secretariat General will be elected in line with the basic statute of the party adding the election of those members will complement the elections held by the party from the bottom to the top.

Dr. Azmi said the NDP policies secretariat is holding on going meetings with the government for drawing up the agenda which will be raised before the NDP congress. This agenda includes terrorism combating bill, health insurance bill and the issue of prices hikes.

Dr. Azmi said President Mubarak will give a major speech at the closing session of the congress adding this speech will cover the coming stage assignments in all fields of political, economic and social activity.
