The Secretariat General of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) will hold a meeting on Wednesday to be followed by an NDP Higher Policies Council meeting, said Safwat Al-Sherif, the Secretary General of the NDP on 19/10/2007.

The NDP Secretariat General meeting will review the working papers relevant to the General Congress as a prelude for submitting them to the political bureau for discussions during the Higher Policies' Council meeting under chairmanship of Gamal Mubarak, the NDP Policies' Secretary.

Gamal Mubarak will present a report to the meeting which will be attended by all members of the committees stemming from the Higher Policies Council.

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif will partially attend the meeting and is likely to deliver a speech following the end of working papers' discussions. Attending will also be the NDP Secretary General.

Sherif affirmed that the NDP General Congress' working papers, scheduled for November 3rd, have proved to be fully identical with the Government's attitudes.

Safwat Al-Sherif further said that the amendments proposed to be incorporated into the NDP main statute have been conforming to the real practice and the proposals channeled from the NDP governorates' secretariats.
