Sidi Abdul-Rahman Project

Minister of Investment, Mahmoud Mohiedeen announced that the United Arab Emirates "Emar Real Estate Company" in cooperation with the "Tourism and Cinema Holding Company" in Egypt won the con-tract of implementation of the first phase of Sidi Abdul-Rahman touris-tic project in the Egyptian North Coast. Emar won the deal after a cut-throat competition among 14 investment companies from several coun-tries.

 Sidi Abdul-Rahman land is considered the most beautiful area in the North Coast and located after Marina. It forms an important touristic investment hub in the North Coast. This area includes the famous "Al Alameen" Hotel and the villas of late president Gamal Abdul-Nasser and late Field Marshal Abdul-Hakeem Amer which gives the area a his-toric value, besides its touristic value, wo???? ????? ????????nderful beaches and its in-comparable blue turquoise water.

Building of this mega project will be only on 15% of its area; 6.2 mil-lion m2. The rest will be green areas, golf playgrounds, marina and en-tertainment services. Eight hotels with different stars will be built. They will provide at least 3,000 rooms. The project also aims at providing job opportunities for the youth.

 Minister, Moheideen pointed out that the project lies between the Mediterranean coast and the International High Way in North Africa; 280 km north Cairo, 125km west Alexandria, 25km west the Interna-tional Alameen Airport and 5km west the tombs of WWII warriors in Alameen.

He mentioned that the project bid by "Emar company" included the establishment of two 5-star hotels, small hotels, villas, 4396 residential units, yacht marina, a golf playground, an another theatre on an area of 1,000 m2, a conference hall, a centre for social activities and a helicop-ters airfield.

 He added that the Egyptian Tourism and Cinema Holding Company will contribute with "Emar" 10% of the project total cost.???? ???? ????? ?????

 Representative of "Egypt Emar", Shafiq Gabr, said that the project will be implemented within 5 years and 6 month under the name of "Marasi".

 Ali Abdul-Aziz, Chief of the Tourism and Cinema Holding Com-pany, assured that the project area is stretched on a 7km long coast on Egypt-Mersa Matrouh Road.
Mohammad Ali El-A'bar, Chairman of the board of "Emar Real Es-tate" said that Egypt has an important location on the international ex-panding map of "Emar". He added that Egypt will play a key role in in-corporating our strategic vision for 2010; to make Emar one of the most major companies in the world.

Managing Director of Emar Egypt Dr. Nader Mohammad said the Egyptian economy witnesses a great and noticeable activity as a result of the comprehensive economical reform movement carried out nowa-days.

 "Emar" seeks coping with this movement through presenting a number of distinguished projects that reflects this development as the case in the "Smart Village" and the expansion of Bibliotheca Alexan-drina.

 Sidi Abdul-Rahman and Al-Alameen project proved that Emar is committed to contribute to developing the Egyptian economy through projects that support touristic infrastructure and provide several job opportunities for Egyptians".
