"Egypt plans to establish giant poultry farms in its countryside to have millions of birds free of bird flu,"Minister of Local Administration Abdel Salam El-Mahgoub said.

He added that the promising project is aimed at rising up to 300 million birds annually.

He said the new farms will operate according to restrictions and hygiene standards.
