The Egyptian government announced the discovery of bird flu cases in Egypt. Since then, rumors have been spreading out across the country. People believe that the government statements on the avian flu were untrue. They consider that these statements were only meant to cover up certain things.
Before the virus discovery, rumors were circulated that the virus had reached the country. However, the government vehemently denied these claims, the move which was believed to be true. This is mainly because the spread of the avian flu has been closely followed up by international organizations across the globe.
Seeking to reassure the people on the flu, the government has launched intensive media campaigns to assure people that the virus was under control. It has also observed transparency in dealing with the issue. It also stepped up medical campaigns nationwide to check places where the birds are located. However, people still feel unconfident about the government measures. People are called upon to feel confident about the government measures. This is because the virus has been drawn an intensive world attention.
